OUR COMPANY

Globesco is a story for perseverance and hard work of a family rising above financial ruins brought about by the loss of their business in Quezon Province during World War II and demise of their father.

Each of the Sy siblings with very scarce resources ventured into various individual endeavors. Specifically, Victoriano, the eldest brother, went into the food business, then a popular nook located at Morayta street in front of FEU, called “Orchid Soda Fountain” and a school supply business named “Varsitarian”, Two of his younger siblings started work at Que Pe Hardware Store located in Sta. Cruz, Manila.

Not long after, combining the learnings of the various endeavors, the brothers headed by Victoriano, took their first step into putting up their own small hardware store and soon the Sy brothers were producing their own paint which they named SPHERO

1959

Starts “backyard” paint production with 4 siblings at BMA Avenue, QC, using cement mixer.

Globesco starts paint production at Sphero at the Globesco Plant in Sto. Domingo Ave., QC

One important decision that laid down the foundation for “quality” for which all paint products of Globesco., ie Sphero, Manor and Canadian are known for, was the establishment of Koatlink in comes out of Globesco manufacturing plant.

Globesco has much to thank it's founder Victoriano Sy, Sr. for laying the foundation and values upon which the Globesco brand represents today, and more importantly, for instituting of legacy of commitment and quality which has lived on all these years. Indeed, the legacy left behind by Victoriano Sy, Sr. has become the Globesco standard, and we believe, this is what sets us apart in the industry.

Established Koatlink Resin Plant to produce its own resin to ensure high quality materials for Sphero Paints
